Nov 29: Christmas at Caroline’s
November 15: Meeting and Presentation by Clare “Can a paper-chart kinda’ gal learn to love a paperless cockpit?”
September 26/27: Western Canada Section meeting in Penticton, BC
We 99s will be thinking of Jean at our West Canada Section meeting in Penticton on September 26 – 28 where we will silent-auction a beautiful collection of winter toques that Jean knit for us during the past year. She wished the proceeds to go towards the West Canada Section scholarship.
The toques are all different, and are in a traditional design: elaborate cables, intricate honeycombs, thick, and most are a creamy white; two are bright colors. Superb handwork.
Jean was so very sorry that she wouldn’t be there with us. As she emailed to Clare just after our 99s fly-out to Texada Island in August, “You gals rock … Love and long distance hugs . . . with long arms!”
I know we will all miss Jean for her warmth, encouragement and mentorship. But most of all for leading us
to be a dedicated and proud Ninety-Nine.
Jean, we love you. You are gone but never forgotten.

August: The BC Coast 99s had a booth at the Chilliwack Flight Fest this year. Here are some pictures of the amazing aerobatic acts Catherine and Clare enjoyed!
July: Teena organized a fly-out to Gillies Bay on Texada Island. We had three planes participate with six 99s in all: Cindy, Clare, Marcia, Wendy, Caroline, and Teena.
July 20: North Fraser Airshow at Pitt Meadows Airport. The 99s had a booth in the Pacific Rim hangar. Next year the booths will be in an area with better visibility of the airshow! 🙂
June: YSE BBQ
June: Cindy and Jean manned the 99s table for the Delta Fly-In on June 28 – thanks for sharing about our wonderful chapter to interested ladies and laddies. 🙂
June 21st saw the 99s tent up at the Langley Fly-In. Here are a few pictures celebrating our time there.
April: Johanna Wagstaffe, pilot, meteorologist and TV personality, gave an informative and interesting presentation on the weather in BC. The BC Coast 99s had their meeting following a meet-and-greet time with goodies.
February: “Airshows: What An Incredible Ride!” presented by Donna Flynn. An interesting and informative presentation about what is involved in organizing an airshow. Donna is actually organizing the North Fraser Airshow for July 20, 2014 in Pitt Meadows. Be sure to come out to this exciting event!
